Renting from a Private Landlord - Tenancy Agreement

Inverclyde Council will only accept a formal Short Assured Tenancy Agreement accompanied with an AT5 form as proof of tenancy in support of an application for Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction.

Any tenancy agreements submitted that do not meet our minimum requirements will not be accepted as proof of a tenancy and may result in a delay in awarding Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction.
