Information for consumers
What is the Inverclyde Trusted Trader scheme and how does it work?
Inverclyde Trusted Trader scheme is led by Inverclyde Council's Trading Standards service. It is a membership scheme which will use an online directory of local traders who have made a commitment to treat their customers fairly.
The scheme is designed to:
Help consumers avoide rogue traders
Help consumers make a more informed choice when choosing a trader
Promote good business practice
When customers use a trusted trader, they send in feedback comments and scores to the Trading Standards service, who then publish the information provided on to the traders individual page. The trader’s customer satisfaction score is the average from all their customer feedback. The more feedback received, the more accurate the satisfaction score.
