Opening Hours

We are open from Wednesday to Saturday from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.

We are normally closed during local holidays and at the Christmas/New Year holiday period. If you are planning a visit at these times, please check our social media, call us on 01475 715624 or email wattinstitution@inverclye.gov.uk to confirm our opening times.

Getting Here

We are situated in the west end of Greenock and can be easily reached from the bus station (5 minutes) or from Greenock West railway station (10 minutes). We do not have a designated car park however there is free on-street parking around the building. There is a reserved space for disabled parking immediately outside the entrance. 

On Arrival

If you are uncertain of the exhibit locations or the layout, our front of house staff will be more than happy to assist you. Public toilets are situated near the entrance and an adapted toilet with baby changing facilities is located outside the art gallery.

Visitors with Access Requirements

Our entrance has an entry ramp and automatic doors. We can provide wheelchair access to the Ground floor of the Museum and the Watt Hall and a lift provides access to the Art Gallery.

The Watt Hall is fitted with an induction loop. There is a reserved space for disabled parking immediately outside the entrance. 

School and Group Visits
