Active Schools Co-ordinator - Clydeview Academy Cluster
Having previously worked for 3 years as an Active Schools Coordinator with West Dunbartonshire Council, I took up post with Inverclyde Council on 1st March 2010. I am responsible for the Clydeview Academy cluster, which incorporates Ardgowan, Gourock and Moorfoot primary schools.
I am looking to offer opportunities to help the children and young people of my cluster to adopt active and healthy lifestyles. Some of the ways that I aim to do this are:
- Supporting existing and creating new out of school hours and community activity clubs.
- Building a sustainable volunteer network.
- Linking my schools to local sports and activity clubs.
- Sports festivals.
- Partnership working with relevant agencies.
One of the keys to a successful and sustainable sports and activity programme are volunteers. If you would be interested in volunteering in any way, please feel free to contact me.
