Parking in Port Glasgow

There are a number of car parks in Port Glasgow Town Centre, namely, Princes Street, Shore Street, Fore Street, Highholm Street Park & Ride and William Street. All car parks are free of charge and all except for the Princes Street car park have no waiting limit. The Princes Street car park has a maximum length of stay of 2 hours. The restrictions in all of the towns car parks apply, Monday to Saturday 8am to 6pm.

Parking is also free on-street in Port Glasgow Town Centre (Zone PGR1) where vehicles can park for up to 1 hour, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm.  This restriction will be added to Willison’s Lane, Station Road, Falconer Street and Crawford Street from 30th August 2021.

Resident permit holders with a Zone PG1 permit are exempt from the limited waiting restrictions.

Zone PG1 also contains some roads with "Permit Holder Only Monday to Friday from 8.15am to 9.15am and 5pm to 6pm" restrictions.  They are Court Road, Huntly Terrace and Huntly Place.  These permits allow holders only to park in the streets within their zones.
