Kind garage offer is perfect fit
MECHANICS went the extra mile to provide frontline healthcare workers in Inverclyde with additional supplies of personal protective equipment (PPE) during the coronavirus outbreak.
The team from Kwik Fit in Dalrymple Street stepped in to give Inverclyde Health & Social Care Partnership (HSCP) staff items such as rubber gloves and covers for car seats, steering wheels and gear sticks for free.
The one-off donation of extra stock was to provide frontline staff with additional protection when travelling to and from work or clients’ homes to further minimise the spread of Covid-19.

Councillor Robert Moran, Inverclyde Council’s Convener of Health & Social Care, said: “This is a fantastic gesture from the Kwik Fit team.
“The community spirit here in Inverclyde never ceases to amaze me, especially in times of crisis like this.
“I’d like to express my gratitude to all our key workers, from those in the council and HSCP to the private and voluntary sectors, who are continuing to do a stellar job helping one another under the most difficult of circumstances.”
