Contacting the Planning Policy Team

The Planning Policy Team is responsible for a wide range of functions including the preparation of the Inverclyde Local Development Plan and for contributing to the Glasgow and the Clyde Valley Strategic Development Plan.  The Team also has responsibility for Outdoor Access, Biodiversity and the Council’s duties regarding Climate Change.

Responsible for matters relating to the built heritage (conservation areas, listed buildings and archaeology), renewable energy, natural environment (including local and strategic designations) and leisure and recreation (including Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park).

Responsible for the Council’s duties in regard to Climate Change, the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the Council's Carbon Management Programme, the Utilities Cost Management Programme and the Council’s Green Charter.
