Youth Work

Developing the skills, self esteem and self confidence of young people

Youth Work Services logo

The purpose of our work is to enable young people to:

  • Build self esteem and self confidence
  • Develop the ability to manage personal and social relationships
  • Develop new skills
  • Consider risk, make reasoned decisions and take control
  • Develop a 'world view' that widens horizons and invites social commitment

We are here to work with young people who have low personal and social skills and who are at risk of exclusion through:

  • Antisocial behaviour
  • Lifestyle choices
  • Lack of opportunity

Currently we work within schools, youth groups and on the streets. We develop opportunities that help young people to:

  • Develop personal and social skills
  • Achieve recognised qualifications
  • Participate in decision making
  • Develop good healthy options
  • Take part in activities
  • Participate in residential situations both at home and abroad
