Garden Waste Permits
Charges are being introduced for the Garden Waste Collection Service from March 2020.
Householders wishing to recycle garden waste in an Inverclyde Council brown bin need to buy a seasonal garden waste permit.
Inverclyde Council’s annual charge for collecting garden waste from the kerbside in 2020 is £30.00 per bin. A permit is required for each brown bin presented containing garden waste and can only be purchased online.
On receipt of payment, the householder will receive a permit which should be attached to the back of the bin to indicate to collection crews to uplift the bin. If bins are presented containing garden waste without a valid permit they will not be emptied.
The £30.00 charge applies regardless of at what point in the year the permit is issued, all permits issued will expire on your last recycling collection day in November 2020.
