The Scottish Food Market at Kip Marina
Treat your taste buds and visit the new Scottish Food Market at Kip Marina opening on Sunday 17th April from 11-4pm.
Whether it’s a sweet tooth you want to satisfy, get into a bit of pickle or take home some great Scottish meat and game, join us on the opening day of our monthly market and find high quality Scottish food and drink purveyors and producers.
Stalls on the day include Nethergate Larder’s rare breed Scottish meat, the Damn Fine Cheese Company, Everything Chilli, Erin Croft Bakery, the Funky Fudge Company and many more to tempt visitors.
As the home of Scotland’s Boat Show every October, and following the success of the Food and Drink Pavilion last year, Kip Marina’s waterside market aims to become Inverclyde’s food destination event for sailors, locals and visitors from across the central belt of Scotland.
On opening day visitors will also have the unique chance to step on board ‘Clyde Challenger’ - the spectacular 60-foot Clipper Round the World ocean racing yacht - or pay a visit to the ‘Angel Blessing Fair’ in The Chartroom and discover the secrets of holistic therapies and treatments.
For the kids there is face painting from our friends at Enchanted Forest Nursery and a giant play fort.
"After the success of the Scottish Food & Drink Pavilion at last years Boat Show we realised there was a 'gap in the market' and decided to develop our own Scottish Food Market at Kip Marina into a regular monthly event” said Kip Marina's Kevin Blamire.
“Scottish food is among the finest in the world and we aim to attract the best producers to Inverclyde which, together with the markets unique setting on the waterside at Scotland's premier marina, will attract visitors from far and wide."
The first Scottish Food Market takes place at Kip Marina on Sunday 17th April as part of our Spring Boat Sales Weekend then the 2nd Sunday of each month – Sunday 8th May, Sunday 12th June, Sunday 10th July, Sunday 14th August and Sunday 11th September.
