Doors Open Days 2019

This year is the 30th anniversary of the annual Doors Open Days events with many of the regions throughout Scotlad taking part. There will be over 20 buildings open throughout Inverclyde over the weekend as well as 3 popular tours. 

This year’s programme has a James Watt theme, given the bicentenary of his death on 25th August and includes a James Watt historical trail, as well as the ever popular tourist bus tours of Port Glasgow & Kilmacolm and Gourock.  

All bus tours can be booked on www.eventrbrite.co.uk, by searching the name of the tour.  

Children are also encouraged to take part and find the Mini Watt’s hidden in some of the popular buildings, as well as themed arts and crafts by Rig Arts in the Tobacco Warehouse.   The childrens flyer can be printed from the panel on the left hand side.

Buildings such as The Beacon, the Dutch Gable House and the Burns Museum in Custom House will all be open for people to explore.
