Brown Bin Collections Suspended for Winter

With the gardening season coming to a close Inverclyde Council is advising householders that brown bin collections will be suspended for the winter months.

From Monday 21 November until March next year there will be no collection of garden waste. 

Environment & Regeneration Convenor Councillor Michael McCormick said: “Although brown bins will not be collected over the winter our other bins will be emptied as normal.  Garden waste can still be recycled at our Pottery Street and Kirn Drive Recycling Centres which are open between 8.00am and 6.00pm.” 

For the final garden waste collections of 2016, residents are being asked to leave their brown bin beside their blue bin on their regular recycling collection day during the week beginning 7 November or 14 November.
