Awards to Honour Inverclyde’s Young People
Inverclyde Council is holding an awards ceremony to thank young people for their contributions to their communities.
Local people and organisations are being asked to nominate anyone aged 11 to 25 they think deserve to be recognised at Inverclyde’s Year of Young People Awards.
Communities Vice Convener and Young People’s Champion Councillor Natasha Murphy said: “All too often young people are tarnished with the same brush and criticised over the actions of a few.
“We know the vast majority play a constructive and responsible role in their communities through volunteering, caring, supporting each other or actively helping others.
“The awards ceremony will be the high point of our year-long celebration of young people and I would urge anyone who can think of a deserving nominee to get in touch.”
There are eight categories in total as well as a top prize for Outstanding Young Person 2018.
Nominations can be made online by using the link on this page.
Closing date for nominations is Wednesday 31 October 2018
