Business survey repopulation focus
Businesses across Inverclyde are being asked to get involved in attracting people to the area by creating job opportunities and reasons to stay.
For, as part of a plan to continue to slow down and turn around long term population decline, business owners and employees are being asked for their views on issues which have an impact.
Inverclyde Council’s Environment and Regeneration Convener, Councillor Michael McCormick, said: “Businesses and job opportunities have a crucial role when it comes to repopulation. That’s why it is important that in developing our plans we find out the key issues faced by businesses.
“The independent and confidential survey will help to inform us about the issues important to businesses in our area and how that can help to promote continued repopulation in Inverclyde.”
Inverclyde Council, and its partners in the Inverclyde Alliance, have commissioned EKOS Economic and Social Research to develop a robust evidence base and action plan to help address issues around population decline.
Businesses are encouraged to take part in the survey to help inform future economic development interventions which will seek to support business growth and success.
