On Monday 20 September work starts on installing new traffic lights, with pedestrian crossing facilities, at the junction between Container Way and Custom House Way in Greenock. The work is expected to take eight weeks. The new lights will improve road safety for drivers, pedestrians and cyclists.
They are part of a wider, £350,000 project to improve Greenock Town Centre. The Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) is putting up the cash for the scheme, which includes upgrading footways and public spaces.
