Adoption and fostering for all
A CAMPAIGN has been launched to encourage more lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people to adopt or become foster carers.
Inverclyde Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) and the council are backing the call as part of LGBT+ Adoption and Fostering Week, which runs from 2-8 March.
To support the campaign, HSCP staff will be hosting a live question and answer session on social media platform Twitter tonight (Wednesday 3 March) at 7pm.

Members of the LGBT+ community who are interested in adopting or fostering can send questions by tagging in the @InverclydeHSCP account and using the #togetherwemakeafamily hashtag.
Councillor Robert Moran, Inverclyde’s health and social care convener, said: “Anyone can foster and adopt as long as they have the love and support to provide a child.
“We’re always on the lookout for adoptive parents and foster carers in Inverclyde and I would like to take this opportunity to encourage anyone who is interested in supporting our children and young people, irrespective of their personal situation, to get in touch and find out more.”
