Inverclyde Alcohol Awareness Week 2025
A number of events are taking place across Inverclyde to mark Alcohol Awareness Week.
Taking place from July 7 to 13, the public events have been organised by Inverclyde Alcohol and Drug Partnership (ADP).

Staff from the ADP and other partner organisations will host stalls where people can pick up alcohol unit wheels, leaflets, unit glasses and diaries as well as leaflets on various support services.
People can also chat to experts about their alcohol use, discuss low drinking guidelines and, where appropriate, can receive a screening on their alcohol use.
Partners involved in Inverclyde ADP include Inverclyde Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP), NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, Police Scotland, Scottish Families affected by Alcohol and Drugs, Moving on Inverclyde, Your Voice, The Haven and The Jericho Society.
Chair of Inverclyde IJB, the organisation which manages the HSCP on behalf of Inverclyde Council and NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, David Gould, said: “Inverclyde sadly has the highest level of alcohol specific deaths in Scotland and I’m sure most people living here know someone whose life has been affected by problematic alcohol use.
“Events like this are so important to raise awareness of the support which is out there. People don’t have to struggle alone.
“I fully support the work being done by Inverclyde ADP and I hope this reaches the people who need it most.”
