Beyond Pain campaign launches in Inverclyde

People living with chronic pain in Inverclyde are being shown where to get help with a new campaign.

Beyond Pain is running throughout June and aims to highlight the issue of living with pain, which affects an estimated 30-50 per cent of people in Inverclyde.

Living with pain can negatively affect people’s physical and mental health, social and home lives and their ability to stay in work.

Beyond Pain aims to shine a light on the support which is available to people and their families and give them the knowledge, skills, confidence and hope for a better way forward.

Inverclyde HSCP has teamed up with Your Voice, CVS Inverclyde, Inverclyde Council’s libraries service, charity Versus Arthritis and national organisation Flippin’ Pain on the campaign.

Posters and leaflets are being distributed across Inverclyde, including GP surgeries and libraries with a range of books on living with pain also available to borrow.

Library staff are available to help people get online to find the right support.

The Beyond Pain campaign has been organised by the Inverclyde Supporting Self Management of Persistent Pain Special Interest Group and is endorsed by Inverclyde HSCP and supported by Flippin’ Pain.
