Fire at Pottery Street Depot, Greenock

UPDATE: 5.45pm, Saturday 24 May, 2025

Please note that the fire at our Pottery Street Depot is substantially reduced and Scottish Fire and Rescue Service remain on site to ensure it is fully extinguished. The A8 has now reopened in both directions, currently on a restricted basis, through use of the off-side carriageway.

The Recycling Centre will remain closed tomorrow, Sunday 25 May, and anyone with recycling is asked to wait until further advice about access is available.
