Bin Collection Information
You CAN use your blue bin/bag to recycle:
You CANNOT use your blue bin/bag to recycle:
- plastic bags
- plastic film
- food waste
- residual household waste
- garden waste.
Please present your blue bin/bag on the kerbside by 7am on your regular recycling collection day.
Please present your black bin on the kerbside by 7am on your regular collection day.
No side waste will be collected.
Your kerbside food waste container is collected every week and should be placed on the kerbside by 7am on your regular collection day.
Householders wishing to recycle garden waste in an Inverclyde Council brown bin need to buy a seasonal garden waste permit.

Seasonal brown bin collections take place between March and November.
The charge for collecting garden waste from the kerbside in 2022 is £32.00 per bin. A permit is required for each brown bin presented containing garden waste.
Permits last for all brown bin collections during the garden waste collection season.
The £32.00 charge applies regardless of at what point in the year the permit is purchased.
Brown bin collections have commenced for the season.
Please present your brown bin by 7am on your regular recycling collection day during the garden waste collection season.
Brown bins without permits will not be collected.
Please note that the final uplift of your brown bin will be either week commencing 7 November 2022 or week commencing 14 November 2022, depending on your regular collection day.
High Rise and Tenemental Recycling Collection Service
The recycling collection service from tenemental and flatted properties has resumed.
Recycling collections from high rise properties remain suspended until further notice.
