When are my bins collected?
Because your blue and brown bins will be collected one week and your black bin and box the next, there are two parts to knowing when you should put your bins out for collection:
- What is your Bin Collection Day?
- Which Recycling Week applies?
The links will provide you with this information:
- bin collection days. This will tell you which day of the week your bins will be collected and which Recycling Calendar applies to your address. (The table is sorted in alphabetical order by street name)
- recycling calendar week 1 or week 2. This shows you, highlighted, which weeks to put out your recycling bins (your black bin and box go out on the weeks not highlighted).
Food waste containers are collected every week.
Seasonal brown bin collections take place between March and November.
Brown bin collections are being suspended for winter
For the final garden waste collections of 2017, please place your brown bin beside your blue bin by 7am on your regular recycling collection day during week commencing 6 November OR week commencing 13 November.
Garden waste can still be recycled at Pottery Street and Kirn Drive Recycling Centres between 8am and 6pm.
There will be no changes to your other bin collection arrangements.
Brown bin collections are due to resume in Spring 2018.
