When are my bins collected?
Because your blue bin (or bag) and your brown bin will be collected one week and your black bin (or bag) the next, there are two parts to knowing when you should put your bins out for collection:
- What is your Bin (or bag) Collection Day?
- Which Recycling Week applies?
The links will provide you with this information:
- bin collection days. This will tell you which day of the week your bins or bags will be collected and which Recycling Calendar applies to your address. (The table is sorted in alphabetical order by street name)
- recycling calendar week 1 or week 2. This shows you, highlighted, which weeks to put out your recycling bins (your black bin and box go out on the weeks not highlighted).
Food waste containers are collected every week.
Seasonal brown bin collections take place between March and November.
Please note that the last uplift of your brown garden waste bin for the season will be week commencing 9th November or 16th November (whichever is your normal recycling week).
Householders wishing to recycle garden waste in an Inverclyde Council brown bin from 30 March need to buy a seasonal garden waste permit.
Garden waste permits can be purchased online. To register and pay for your permit please follow link.
