Proposed Public Processions

Details of proposed processions intimated to the Council can be viewed below.

Any person or organisation who wishes to bring to the attention of the Council any information relevant to the Council’s consideration of any individual notification should do so, in writing, to reach the Council’s Head of Legal and Democratic Services not later than 14 days prior to the date of the proposed processions.

PROPOSED PUBLIC PROCESSIONS 2025

Anyone who would like to comment on a parade which is planned in their local area should do so in writing by the date noted.  Please refer comments to the Head of Legal, Democratic, Digital and Customer Services, Inverclyde Council, Municipal Buildings, Greenock, PA15 1LX.

DATE AND TIME – Saturday 21 June 2025 at 11am

ORGANISATION – Port Glasgow Comet Festival

PROPOSED ROUTE – PORT GLASGOW

The procession will begin at Brown St and proceed along Princes St,

John Wood St, Fore St, terminating at Port Glasgow Library

NO. OF PERSONS – Approx 150

REASON – Port Glasgow Comet Festival Gala

DATE AND TIME – Saturday 28 June 2025 at 9.30am

ORGANISATION – Loyal Orange Lodge District 19

PROPOSED ROUTE – PORT GLASGOW

The procession will begin at Boglestone Ave and will proceed along Ardmore Rd,

Springhill Rd, Balfour St, Shore St, Princes St, John Wood St, Bay St and Fore St

to the cenotaph.  On the return, the procession will leave from Boglestone Community

Centre, proceeding along Dubbs Rd and Boglestone Ave for dispersal at Boglestone Ave.

REASON – Annual Boyne Celebration
