When are my bins collected?

Please click on the links to view/download details of the bin collection arrangements and opening hours of the Recycling Centres during the festive season

Because your blue bin (or bag) and your brown bin will be collected one week and your black bin (or bag) the next, there are two parts to knowing when you should put your bins out for collection:

  1. What is your Bin (or bag) Collection Day?
  2. Which Recycling Week applies?

The links will provide you with this information:

  • bin collection days.  This will tell you which day of the week your bins or bags will be collected and which Recycling Calendar applies to your address. (The table is sorted in alphabetical order by street name)
  • recycling calendar week 1 or week 2.  This shows you, highlighted, which weeks to put out your recycling bins (your black bin and box go out on the weeks not highlighted).

Food waste containers are collected every week.

Seasonal brown bin collections take place between March and November.

The brown collection service has been suspended for winter. The service is scheduled to recommence in March 2020.

You can recycle your garden waste at Pottery Street Recycling Centre and Kirn Drive Recycling Centre.

Please note that from 2020 there will be a charge for brown bin collections.
