When are my bins collected?
We are all working hard to continue delivering your key services wherever possible.
The majority of our waste and recycling services are now back to their normal timetables.
Please see the details below for the most up to date information on blue bins/bags, black bins, food waste and brown bins.
Please see the link on the left for the daily schedule of bin/bag collections, by street name.
There are two parts indicating when you should put your bins/bags out for collection:
- What is your bin/bag collection day?
- Which recycling week applies?
The links will provide you with this information:
- bin collection days. This will tell you which day of the week your bins/ bags will be collected and which recycling calendar applies to your address
- recycling calendar week 1 or week 2. This shows you, highlighted, which weeks to put out your recycling bins (your black bin goes out on the weeks not highlighted).
Your fortnightly blue bin/bag collection has resumed.
Please present your blue bin/bag on the kerbside by 7am on your regular recycling collection day.
You CAN use your blue bin/bag to recycle:

residual household waste
We have resumed our usual fortnightly collection of your black bin. This means the weekly collection of general household waste has stopped.
Please present your black bin on the kerbside by 7am on your regular collection day.
No side waste will be collected.
Your kerbside food waste container is collected every week and should be presented on the kerbside by 7am on your regular collection days.
You require a garden waste permit for the collection of your garden waste. To register and pay for your permit please follow the link on the left.
Please note, the fulfillment company responsible for the processing, printing and distribution of garden waste permits has informed us that they are operating with a reduced work force during the covid-19 pandemic.
We are in regular dialogue with the company and have their assurance that they are trying to keep delivery times for garden waste permits below 14 days.
We apologise if you experience any inconvenience whilst waiting for your garden waste permit.
Brown bins with permits should be presented on the kerbside by 7am on your regular recycling collection day.
Brown bins without permits will not be collected.
High Rise and Tenemental Recycling Collection Service
The recycling collection service from tenemental and flatted properties has resumed.
Recycling collections from high rise properties remains suspended until further notice.
