When are my bins collected?
As your blue bin (or bag) and your brown bin will be collected one week and your black bin (or bag) the next, there are two parts to knowing when you should put your bins out for collection:
- What is your bin (or bag) collection day?
- Which recycling week applies?
The links will provide you with this information:
- bin collection days. This will tell you which day of the week your bins or bags will be collected and which recycling calendar applies to your address. (The table is sorted in alphabetical order by street name)
- recycling calendar week 1 or week 2. This shows you, highlighted, which weeks to put out your recycling bins (your black bin goes out on the weeks not highlighted).
Food waste containers are collected every week.
Seasonal brown bin collections take place between March and November.
Please present your brown bin by 7am on your regular recycling collection day.
To accommodate late gardening activities and later leaf-fall, your last brown bin collection will now be during week commencing 22 November or week commencing 29 November depending on your recycling collection day.
Householders wishing to recycle garden waste in an Inverclyde Council brown bin need to buy a seasonal garden waste permit. To register and pay for your permit please follow the link.
