If you have a current asylum claim and are residing in Home Office/ Mears accommodation in Inverclyde you should contact your Mears Welfare Support Officer with any queries or difficulties in the first instance.
Migrant Help can support in multiple areas, including providing assistance to make an asylum claim, help and guidance to navigate the asylum process, and to claim financial assistance and lodge complaints. You can find the link to their webpage under the 'Other Websites' section.
Move-on support is available from the New to Scotland team to those who are granted leave to remain. This includes assistance to access welfare benefits, and to identify accommodation to those who wish to remain residing in the Inverclyde area. Additional local integration support from the team and partners is also available.
